7th grader Stephen Whitecotton was the only member of the Heritage Christian Academy tennis team this spring. The youngster was invited to attend meets where University Heights Academy was playing to see if he could get in some time on the courts against varsity competition.
After winning his first regional tournament match this week, Whitecotton nearly pulled it off in the second round before falling 6-4, 7-5. YSE caught up with the youngster after the match.
