
The Fort Campbell girls’ track and field team nearly swept the relay events on Saturday at the Class 1A Region 1 meet at Murray High, capturing 1st place in the 4×100, 4×200, and 4×400 meters while settling for the 3rd in the 4×800-meters.
The Lady Falcons’ near mastery of the baton helped them total 123 points, trailing only 1st-place Murray High’s 130.5.
The team of Lillianah Dewitt, Chanelle Fobbs, Zyaziah Langley, and Jerni Hicks won both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays with times of 50.92 and 1:47.94. Alexa Aubuchon joined Dewitt, Fobbs, and Langley to take the top spot in the 4×400 with a 4:22.81. The Lady Falcons ran 3rd in the 4×800, with Emmie Underwood, Abigail Allen, Makayla Finn, and Grace Stultz posting a time of 10:56.85.

Underwood also ran to a win in the 3200 meters with a time of 12:08 and her 5:31.88 finished runner-up to Murray High’s Jade Green in the 1600 meters, and Dewitt raced to a victory in the 200-meters with a 26.82.
Hicks also captured a region title in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.82 and finished 3rd in the high jump with a height of 4-6. Langley just missed a win in the 400-meters, running .11 seconds behind St. Mary’s Maddie Ault, and Fobbs rounded out her day on the track with a 3rd-place finish (13.18) in the 100-meter dash.
Lady Falcon basketball standout Rosella Rajj finished 3rd in the 300-meter dash with a 52.96, and got it done in the field events as well with 2nd-place showings in the high jump (4-8) and triple jump (30-8.5).
Stultz added a top-five run in the 800 meters, and Ava Roberts chipped in with a height of 7-0 to claim 4th in the pole vault.
