This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of May 13 is Fort Campbell High School’s Maurice Moore. Maurice was selected based on his performance at the region track and field competition May 18 in Murray.
Maurice ran to individual titles in the 100 and 400-meter races and helped the 4×200 and 4×400-meter relay teams to 1st-place finishes. Moore blazed to an 11:01 in the 100-meter and couldn’t be caught in the 400-meter with a 50.22.
In the 4×200 relay, Moore was part of the team that posted a 1:30.33 to hold off 2nd-place Caldwell County. Moore was also on the team that cruised to a win in the 4×400 with a time of 3:29.85.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
