
Karsyn Potter’s stellar throwing career at Crittenden County concluded on Thursday with a trip to the medal podium at the Clark’s Pump N Shop Class 1A State Track and Field Meet at the University of Kentucky.
Potter finished in sixth place with a toss of 101-2 in the discus. She missed her school record by four inches.
St. Henry’s Anna Guard set a state record with a throw of 132-7.
The 3200-meter relay team of Mary Martinez, Presley Potter, Aubrey Grau, and Ella Geary was 18th in 11:17.55. The time beat their school record by nearly eight seconds
Martinez was 13th in the 3200-meter run in a season-best 12:56.35. Her time is the seventh fastest in school history and the fastest by someone not named Kate Keller.
She also finished in 19th place in the 1600-meter run in a season-best 5:52.72.
