Dawson Springs Sets New Track Standards at State Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Dawson Springs added some school records to the list at Thursday’s Clark’s Pump N Shop Class 1A State Track and Field Meet at the University of Kentucky.

Easton Bourland was ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:01.34, missing a medal by less than a half second. However, he beat his school record time by a second

Deacon Dever was 16th in the 3200-meter run in 10:54.20 and set a new school record by three-fourths of a second.

The 3200-meter relay team of Easton Bourland, Lucas Osborne, Deacon Dever, and Montgomery Johnston earned a medal with a seventh finish in 8:40.70 – second fastest in program history.

The 1600-meter relay team of Sean Stallins, Lucas Osborne, Montgomery Johnston, and Easton Bourland was 16th in 3:42.77 – also the second fastest in school history.

Casey Fain was 19th in the high jump at 5-8.

For the ladies, Olivia Hines was 21st in the 800-meter run in 2:43.57.

The girls’ 3200-meter relay team of Kimberly Hoover, Audrey McCoy, Olivia Hines, and Baylee Swatzell was 17th in a school-record time of 11:06.87.
