After reaching the state tennis tournament for the second year in a row, postseason honors have come in for a Lyon County grad. It was announced Thursday that Anna Crawford had been named to the All-State Tennis Team as an At-Large honoree.
The announcement of players on the team was made by the Kentucky High School Tennis Coaches Association.
Crawford was the only 2nd Region player to garner either All-State or At-Large recognition.
Crawford finished as runner-up in the 2nd Region tournament, having to withdraw from the championship match due to a knee injury. Crawford then won her first match at this year’s state tournament before losing in the Round of 32.
It marked the second straight trip to the state tournament for Crawford, who reached the regional semifinals in 2023.
