Kentucky baseball kicked off their NCAA Tournament with a narrow 10-8 victory over Western Michigan in Lexington on Friday afternoon.
The Bat Cats took a commanding 8-0 lead before Western Michigan scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Kentucky answered with two of their own in the fifth, but Western Michigan kept it going with three more in the top of the sixth.
Nick Mingione’s team held on to close out the game and advance to Saturday night’s Game Four, which starts at 7 PM ET and will feature the winner of Game Three.
