Tuesday turned out to be a good ‘Day’ for the Christian County Lady Colonels as they got in some summer basketball action. Senior NeVaeh Day hit double figures in both games as the Lady Colonels traveled to Calloway County for the Summer Shootout.
Christian County began their evening with a tough matchup against Breese Central. The Lady Colonels held the Illinois state tourney team to 33 points but had trouble on the offensive end, falling 33-25. NeVaeh Day finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Anaysia Bagwell added 7 points for Christian County.
The second game of the shootout saw the Lady Colonels roll to a big 49-23 win over Stewart County. Stewart County had no answer inside for NeVaeh Day, who racked up 24 points in the scrimmage win. Anaysia Bagwell added 10, while Lazarie Daniel finished with 8 points.
