Lady Colonels Go 2-1 Monday at Bethel Team Camp

Another good day Monday for the Christian County Lady Colonels on the summer basketball circuit. The Lady Colonels were at Bethel University for their annual team camp and got in three games over the course of the day.

First game of the day saw Christian County roll past Section High School, from Section, Alabama. The Lady Colonels rumbled to a 65-17 win. Anaysia Bagwell and Amari Northington scored 12 points each to lead Christian County NeVaeh Day added 8 in the win.

Up next for the Lady Colonels was a matchup against Gibson County. This one also was a case of Christian County simply having too much firepower as the Lady Colonels cruised to a 54-21 win. A big game for Anaysia Bagwell, who finished with 22 points. NeVaeh Day added 12 and Genesis McGee chipped in with 8.

Things got a bit tougher as Monday wound its way to a conclusion. The Lady Colonels fell to Huntingdon 40-33. Anaysia Bagwell led Christian County with 9 points, while NeVaeh Day added 8. Cold shooting was a big factor for the Lady Colonels as they knocked down just 11 of 38 from the field.
