Caldwell County’s girls had numerous athletes honored on the 2024 All-Area 1 Track & Field Teams after a strong season for the Lady Tigers.
One Lady Tiger was selected to the All-Area 1 Overall Team, which includes athletes from Class A, 2A and 3A.
Avery Wells was named second-team in the 200-meter dash on the Overall Team.
Meanwhile, the Lady Tiger athletes that were selected to the Class A All-Area 1 Team include:
• Avery Wells, first team 200-meter dash and second team long jump,
• Benashka Thomas, first team shot put and second team triple jump,
• Haley Dalton, first team 100-meter dash,
• T.J. Goodwin, first team pole vault,
• Emma Ward, second team discus,
• Addison Middleton-Mobley, second team long jump,
• 4×100-meter relay, first team (Avery Wells, Mariah Merritt, Addison Middleton-Mobley and Haley Dalton),
• 4×200-meter relay, first team (Chevy McGowan, Brilee Hubbard, Haley Dalton and Avery Wells),
