A strong season for Caldwell County’s track and field program has led to postseason honors for the Tigers.
Several Caldwell athletes have also been recognized on the 2024 All-Area 1 Track & Field Teams, including one named to the Overall Team, which includes athletes from Class A, 2A and 3A.
Cooper Mobley was first-team shot put and second-team discus on the boys’ Overall Team.
Tiger athletes named to the Class A All-Area 1 Team include:
• Cooper Mobley, first team shot put and first team discus,
• Max Heaton, first team 110-meter hurdles and first team pole vault,
• Luke Maddox, second team 100-meter dash and second team 200-meter dash,
• Daniel Laurent, second team shot put and second team discus,
• Shane Fairrow, second team 200-meter dash,
• Jackson Risley, second team 300-meter hurdles,
• Timothy Nichols, second team triple jump,
• 4×100-meter relay, second team (Gus Fox, Tre Copeland, Luke Maddox, and Shane Fairrow),
• 4×200-meter relay, second team (Luke Maddox, Tre Copeland, Max Heaton, and Shane Fairrow),
• 4×400-meter relay, second team (Timothy Nichols, Max Heaton, Tre Copeland and Xzavier Lee).
