
Fort Campbell had one runner and two relay teams named First Team All-State by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Maurice Moore finished in second place in the 400-meter dash at the Class 1A State Track and Field Meet, completing the circuit in 49.14 – the second fastest time in school history.
Moore was also on a pair of state-champion relay teams that earned All-State honors.
The 800-meter relay team of J.C. Perryman, McKenzie Andrews, Mateo Cerritos Gatto, and Moore, set a school record with a winning time of 1:29.61. That group has run the four fastest times in the event in program history.
The 1600-meter relay team of Andrews, Cerritos Gatto, Moore, and Sam Atoubi rounded out the day with a flawless run in 3:25.37 to take first place by nearly three seconds. Their time was the second-fastest in school history and just missed a 40-year-old school record by .32 seconds.
