Union County Track Athletes Named First Team All-State

Union County had a pair of athletes named First Team All-State by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Eighth-grader Cooper Crowdus won the pole vault at the Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Class 2A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington, clearing 13 feet, 6 inches on his third and final try to break a three-way tie for first place and set a new school record.

Also named First Team All-State was Koleby Schroeder, who finished second in the long jump at 21 feet, 4.5 inches.
