The Caldwell County Tiger basketball team picked up a pair of wins in summer basketball scrimmages at Mayfield on Monday.
The Tigers nipped Massac County, Illinois, 58-57 in their opener, then later defeated host Mayfield 52-38.
In the win over Massac, Jaydarius Wilson and Pax Aikins each had 16 points while Kam Wilson added 12 points.
In the victory against Mayfield, Jaydarius Wilson led the Tigers with 14 points. Luke Maddox had 10 points, Collin Whittington nine and Kam Wilson eight.
The Tigers will make the trip to Mayfield for more action on Wednesday.
The varsity Tigers will face Paducah Tilghman at 2:50 and Henry County, Tennessee, at 5:20.
Caldwell’s JV squad will also play two games on Wednesday. The JVers will take on Carlisle County at 2:00 before facing Stewart County, Tennessee, at 3:40.
Last Thursday, the Tigers played two games at Ohio County. Caldwell beat the host Eagles 61-49 behind 21 points from Jaydarius Wilson and 12 from Pax Aikins, but then lost to McLean County.
