The Great Smoky Mountains National Park turns 90 years old this year and Anakeesta in Gatlinburg has a special T-shirt to celebrate — and the best part is that all proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Smokies, an organization that assists the National Park Service in its mission to protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park through fundraising efforts, public education projects and volunteers.
Through June 30th shirts can be purchased at the Anakeesta online retail store at this link.
Anakeesta, one of my favorite attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains, is also a great spot to enjoy the Fourth of July since it has a splash pad, variety of cold drinks and the best views in downtown Gatlinburg.
There’s also live music and special festive foods before the Gatlinburg’s fireworks and drone show display that starts at 10pm on July 4th.
