With the ‘dead period’ beginning this week, the Lyon County Lyons were among the teams taking part in the KABC Titans Shootout over the weekend. The defending state champs saw action in three games in the Saturday-Sunday competition for the event.
The Lyons opened play Saturday night against Centerville (OH). Centerville came away with a 67-60 win.
The second game of Saturday night for the Lyons saw a matchup against 1st Region contender Paducah Tilghman. This one went in favor of the Lyons with Lyon County picking up a 79-72 victory.
The Lyons were back on the court Sunday against Louisville Eastern. Eastern took a close win by the final score of 59-56.
