The Todd County Central Rebels’ stay during the second day of the Best of the West 7-on-7 tournament was probably not as long as the Rebels would have liked. Still, the young Rebels were able to gain some valuable early summer experience.
The Rebels opened the double-elimination bracket play Saturday morning taking on Clarksville Northeast. This one belonged to Northeast early on as the Todd Central offense had trouble finding its stride as the Rebels fell 45-7.
The loss sent the Rebels to the consolation bracket, where they matched up against defending BOTW champ Gibson Southern, who had been upended by Murray in their first game of the day. Gibson Southern took care of business in the matchup against Todd County Central, dispatching the Rebels 46-7 and ending Todd Central’s appearance in the 2024 tournament.
