
Hopkins County Central finished in 11th place Monday at the season-opening Henderson County Invitational at the Henderson Country Club.
The five Storm golfers finished within 16 shots of each other to total 379. Owensboro won with a score of 306, two shots better than Hancock County.
Jett Miller led the Storm with a round of 90, two shots better than his brother Jaxon Miller. Will Lynch followed with a 98, Lucas Rambo had a 99, and Jagger Byrum carded a 106.
Hancock County’s Dec Lewko was the lone golfer to finish under par with a round of 69, helping the Hornets to a second-place team finish.
Owensboro shot a 306 to win the team title with Madisonville third at 320.
