Maroons Open Season With 3rd Place Finish at Henderson County (w/PHOTOS)

Madisonville-North Hopkins opened the 2024 golf season with a third-place finish Monday at the Henderson County Invitational.

The Maroons had two golfers – Treyson Raymer and Jake Witherspoon – break 80 on the day. Raymer shot 76 on the Henderson Country Club course to finish tied for sixth place. Witherspoon fired a 78 to finish in 10^th place.

Max Clayton shot an 82 for the Maroons, followed by Tyler Bryan’s 84 and Brennan Cole’s 85.

Hancock County’s Dec Lewko was the lone golfer to finish under par with a round of 69, helping the Hornets to a second-place team finish.

Owensboro shot a 306 to win the team title with Madisonville third at 320.
