The Madisonville-North Hopkins guys placed seventh out of 17 teams Tuesday in the 12th annual Marshall County Invitational Golf Tournament.
Trayson Raymer shot a team-best 80 as the Maroons finished with a team score of 333 at Calvert City Country Club.
Tyler Bryan was next for Madisonville with an 82 while Brennan Cole carded an 85, Max Clayton 86 and Jake Witherspoon 91.
McCracken County was first at 303. That was nine shots better than Owensboro. Paducah Tilghman took third at 316.
Teams battled light rain at times during the morning round. However, a heavy rain drenched golfers late in the round as many were playing their final holes.
Owensboro’s Nolan Warren was medalist with an even-par 72.
The Maroons will play again on Wednesday but will be a little closer to home. Madisonville will take part in the Hopkins County Central Storm Golf Invitational, which will be played at Madisonville Country Club.
