La Familia just continues to get better and better.

Eric Bledsoe scored a game-high 24 points to lead La Familia, Kentucky’s alumni team, as it routed Herd That 95-66 Tuesday night in Rupp Arena in the Lexington Region title game of The Basketball Tournament.

Bledsoe was coming off a 16-point performance in Round 2 win but was even better in this win. He went 8-for-16 from the field and also pulled off five rebounds. He repeatedly got into the lane to spark the offense.

Kerem Kanter again showed how valuable his late addition to the roster was as he scored 20 points. He got to the foul line 15 times and made 12. He also had a team-high eight rebounds.

La Familia had 14 3-pointers on 28 tries as Nate Sestina, James Young and Aaron Harrison each made three while Andrew Harrison and Bledsoe each hit two.

Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison and Sestina each had 11 points. Andrew Harrison had a team-high five assists while Willie Cauley-Stein led La Familia with three blocks.

“We’re pretty familiar with each other. But now guys are starting to get their legs under them,” La Familia coach Tyler Ulis said after his team broke the game open in the second half. “Everybody’s starting to get in shape and the outcome is showing.”

Kentucky will play the Louisville Regional winner in the quarterfinals of the tourney that pays $1 million to the winning team.
