The Lyon County Lady Lyons opened its golf season on Wednesday at the Trigg County Invitational at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
Lyon’s three golfers – Lily Perry, Brenna Breitrick, and Jenna Coursey – all finished within six shots of each other.
Perry came in 17th place with a score of 98. Her scorecard showed six pars on the afternoon.
Breitrick shot a 100 and Coursey added a 106. Breitrick showed off her putter by draining a couple of long putts while Coursey opened her day with a par on No. 1.
Hickman County’s Katie Abernathy shot a 1-under 70 to win the individual title. University Heights Academy senior Conlee Lindsey was second with a round of 72.
The Lady Lyons didn’t have the full field of four golfers to register a team score although they should be able to field a full team later in the season.
