Tay Martinez led the way on a hot day for the Christian County Colonels Wednesday as the early part of the high school golf season continues. The Colonels were among the teams taking part in the Muhlenberg County Invitational at the Central City Country Club.
Christian County shot a team score of 364 for the day. Owensboro took top honors with a 305. Madisonville-North Hopkins finished 2nd with a team score of 309.
Tay Martinez’s round of 85 was the low score of the day for the Colonels. Drew Fincham was not far behind with an 87.
Aiden Lewis shot a 93. Peyton Hilton finished with a 99. And, Jaedon McMillian closed out the day with a 119.
Griffin Jackson, of Glasgow, Jackson Mayes, of Grayson County, and Zach Sloan, of Hart County, each shot a round of 72 to lead the individual competition.
