A pair of golfers from Heritage Christian Academy were among those sweating it out at the Central City Country Club Wednesday. Muhlenberg County hosted the annual Muhlenberg County Boys Invitational.
Carson Powell and Cruz Egbert represented the Warriors in the event.
Powell shot a 44 on the front nine and then a 46 on the back nine to close out his day with a 90
Egbert, after struggling a bit on the front nine, where he shot a 56, got hotter than the weather on the back nine, where he shot a 42 to close out his day with a 98.
Griffin Jackson, of Glasgow, Jackson Mayes, of Grayson County, and Zach Sloan, of Hart County, each shot a round of 72 to lead the individual competition.
Owensboro won the team title with a 305, while Madisonville-North Hopkins was four shots back in second place.
