Hopkins County Central’s Macy Cotton just missed out on a trip to the Kentucky 2A Championships state golf tournament Thursday. Cotton finished her 9-hole round with a score of 49 putting her in 4th place overall, right behind Trigg County’s Emma Dowell, who was the second of two individual qualifiers for the state tournament.
YSE spoke with Cotton after her round about her play and the hot conditions that led to an early start and a shortened event.
