
The Pacific Northwest continues to be good to Emma Talley.
The Caldwell County grad is in contention at the Portland Classic after carding a 5-under-par 67 in second round action on Friday.
That leaves her at 12-under overall.
She was in third place when she left the Columbia Edgewater Country Club Course following the morning round on Friday. After the afternoon scores came in, Talley is in a tie for sixth entering Saturday’s third round.
Dewi Weber holds the 36-hole lead at 16-under after a 10-under 62 on Friday.
Two other players are at 14-under with another two at 13-under.
Talley has 12 birdies and 24 pars in her first two days in the LPGA Tour event.
Talley has a 12:45 p.m. Pacific tee time on Saturday.
