A large turnout Friday for the annual Daviess County Invitational at Ben Hawes State Park in Owensboro. A total of 24 teams, and several individuals, took to the course in the best weather conditions of the week.
The Christian County Colonels were among the teams competing in the event. The Colonels finished their day with a team score of 424.
Owensboro took team honors with a score of 290. Marshall County finished second at 299. McCracken County took 3rd place with a 300.
The top individual performance for Christian County came from Tay Martinez, who finished with a round of 86.
Owensboro’s Nolan Warren took medalist honors with a round of 68. Grant Broughton, of Daviess County, and Landon Hunt, of McCracken County, tied at 69 with Broughton winning 2nd place on the tie-breaker.
