The Christian County Colonels made a pair of first-half goals stand up as they took a 2-1 scrimmage win Monday evening over the Webster County Trojans at the Stadium of Champions. The match was one of two scrimmages this week for the Colonels.
Christian County got on the board in the early part of the opening half when Leland Creamer took a corner kick from Christian Lopez and put it in the net to give the Colonels a 1-0 lead.
Late in the half, Noah Davis took a pass from Alex Hale and put it in the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.
The score remained that way until late in the second half when the Trojans scored to cut the lead to 2-1.
The Colonels are back in action Tuesday when they host Owensboro Catholic in the final preseason scrimmage.
