The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons welcomed Paducah Tilghman, last season’s Class 4A state semifinalists, for a preseason scrimmage on Friday. The Blue Tornado prevailed in a structured first half and two twenty-minute periods with a running clock.
The teams twice alternated ten plays each on offense before the junior varsity squads took the field for a series to end the first half. The Blue Tornado found the endzone seven times while holding the Maroons scoreless.
In the second half, Paducah Tilghman outscored Madisonville 21-7, with Ryder Sandidge getting the Maroons on the scoreboard with a long reception down to the two-yard line and a dive into the endzone on the following play.
