
The Caldwell County Tiger soccer team kicked off the 2024 season at Webster County on Monday but suffered a 3-1 setback.
Caldwell was within 2-1 when Colin Turmero scored on a penalty kick in the match’s 64th minute.
However, Webster countered with a goal in the 68th minute to extend its margin to 3-1.
The Trojans had taken a 2-0 lead to halftime.
The Trojans extended their lead in the all-time series to 6-2-1.
Caldwell’s guys will play at home for the first time on Thursday when they host Madisonville-North Hopkins in 7th District action.
