A second-half goal for the Webster County Lady Trojans prevented the Todd County Central Lady Rebels from opening the 2024 soccer season with a win. After trailing 2-1 at the half, the Lady Trojans were the only team to find the net in the final 40 minutes as the two teams played to a 2-2 draw in Dixon.
The Lady Rebels got first-half goals from Ellie Robles and Jaidyn Holland. Robles scored on a high middle shot that found the back of the net. Holland later scored off an assist from Haylee Chamberlaine.
Todd County Central also got a solid opening night performance from goalie Jazmine Russell. Russell finished the night with 9 saves.
The Lady Rebels (0–0-1) are now off until next Tuesday when they host Logan County in a 13th District matchup.
