After playing Russellville to a tie last week in their first of two preseason scrimmages, the Hopkinsville Tigers took another step forward Thursday evening in their final scrimmage ahead of the start of the 2024 football season.
The Tiger defense did not give up a score as Hopkinsville picked up a 12-0 win on the road at Fairdale in a three quarter varsity scrimmage.
Hopkinsville led 6-0 after the opening quarter, thanks to a 5-yard touchdown run from Aiden King.
Neither team scored in the second quarter.
The Tigers then extended their lead in the third quarter as Aiden King scored on another touchdown run, extending the lead out to 12-0.
Hopkinsville now gets ready to officially open the season next Friday night on the road at Greenwood.
