The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm are headed to the semifinals of the Kentucky 2A Championships girls soccer sectional round. The Lady Storm advanced with an impressive 8-1 home field win over Paducah Tilghman.
Emma Vandiver had a huge night for the Lady Storm. The Central sophomore found the net four teams in leading her team to the win.
Lilly Armour had two goals, while Jaci Childress and Kenzleigh Harrison scored one goal each.
Childress had two assists on the night. Kenzie Tucker and Elizabeth Phaup also assisted on Lady Storm scores.
Hopkins County Central improves to 1-1 with the win. The Lady Storm will now face Murray in the second sectional semifinal on August 26 at 7:30pm at the Trigg County Recreation Complex in Cadiz.
Up next for the Lady Storm is a Monday night home match against Christian County.
