The Todd County Central Rebels scored early and often Thursday night in their home match against Lyon County. The Rebels scored seven times in the first 40 minutes on their way to a 7-0 win over the Lyons.
Tanner Henderson continued his hot start to the 2024 season, scoring four times on the night, two of those coming in the first five minutes of the match, and both coming on assists from Chris Salazar. Salazar finished the night with three assists and added a goal of his own.
After leading 7-0 at the half, Todd County Central ended the match when Charlie Campbell converted a deflected PK 5 minutes into the second half after a Lyon County was called for a hand ball in the box.
In addition to Henderson’s four goals, John Ross Cardwell and Carson Carracilio both found the net.
Cardwell, Carracilio, and Sam Perez all had assists in the big Rebel win.
Todd County Central moves to 3-0 with the win. The Rebels go on the road Saturday morning to face Owensboro Catholic.
Lyon County opens the season at 0-1. The Lyons get back to work Saturday morning at Apollo.
