Heritage Christian Academy’s Carson Powell captured a top 10 finish at Thursday’s Second Region All A Classic Golf Tournament at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter.
The senior shot a round of 86 to finish in ninth place. He missed a three-way playoff for the final state tournament qualifying spot by two shots.
Powell shot identical 43s on each side of the course.
Cruz Egbert continued his improvement on the course for the Warriors with a 102, good for 23rd place.
University Heights Academy’s Cal Givens took medalist honors with a 5-over par 77.
