If your defense does not allow an opponent to get a shot on goal during the course of a match, it’s usually a good bet that you added one to the win column. That is exactly what happened for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Monday evening on the road at Union County.

The Lady Tigers did not allow the Bravettes a shot on goal in the match as Hopkinsville rolled to an 8-0 win. The match ended four minutes into the second half when the Lady Tigers scored their final goal of the night to reach the 8-run rule.

The Lady Tigers had this one under control the moment they got off the bus after the ride up to Ohio River country as they scored early and often.

Kaydon Coats, who entered the night with four goals on the season, scored her 5th, 6th, and 7th goals of the year. She also had two assists in the match. Kaylyn Lynch, who also entered the night with four goals, added two more to her season total.

Azaa Enkhtugs found the net twice and Grace Cansler once for the Lady Tigers.

Rebecca Wood assisted on two of the Lady Tigers’ eight goals.

Hopkinsville (3-1) gets back to action Thursday evening in a big home match against the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons.
