Hopkins Central Blanks McLean County in Three Sets

Hopkins County Central cruised past visiting McLean County on Tuesday in three sets to improve to 2-0.  The Lady Storm will look to extend their perfect start on Thursday when they travel to Livingston Central to face the Lady Cardinals.

Hopkins Central opened the match with a 25-19 win in the first set, before holding McLean to 17 points in a second-set victory.  The Lady Storm closed out their second win of the season with a 25-22 decision in the third.

Aalycia Stringer led the way at the net with eight kills for the Lady Storm, followed by Mallory Wagoner and Calajia Mason with seven each.  Stringer added three assists and three digs, and Wagoner also finished with three digs.

Izzy Hight notched 29 assists and Emma Hight had five digs.  Lyla Fortener added six assists and six digs, Izzy Gunn had four kills and a pair of assists, and Emma Frazier provided four assists.

McLean County suffered its first loss of the season to slip to 1-1.
