The University Heights Academy Blazers are headed back to the 2nd Region All A Classic championship game. The Lady Blazers advanced by rolling past Crittenden County 8-0 Tuesday night at Fort Campbell in the second semifinal round match of the evening.

The win was the second 8-0 win in as many nights in the tournament. The Lady Blazers dispatched Fort Campbell by an identical score Monday night at Givens Field.

Audrey Perry got the Lady Blazers rolling Tuesday night, scoring goals at 2:00 and 7:00. The second coming on a penalty kick after Crittenden County was called for a handball in the box.

Kendall Hancock found the net at 8:00 and again at 18:15 to extend the Lady Blazers’ lead to 4-0.

Gracie Ausenbaugh, who scored four goals in Monday night’s win, scored at 27:15 to give UHA a 5-0 lead that would hold until the half.

The first half was completely dominated by the Lady Blazers as they outshot Crittenden County 24 to 0. And not much would change as the second half got underway.

Audrey Perry drilled a left-footed shot into the left side of the net at the 45:00 to push the lead out to 6-0.

Crittenden County goalie Macibelle Hardesty took a shot attempt to the face later in the half and was forced to head to the sideline, and that would open the door for the Lady Blazers to quickly close out the match. Within four minutes of the injury, Cecilia Langhi and Kate Cayce scored to close out the match due to the 8-run rule.

For the match, the Lady Blazers did not allow the Lady Rockets a single shot on goal, outshooting them 35 to 0.

University Heights (3-0) now advances to take on Caldwell County Thursday night in the regional championship match at Fort Campbell.
