The Todd County Central Lady Rebels were initially supposed to have their home opener against Logan County Tuesday night. However, due to an officiating situation, that home opener ended up being a road trip up US 68 for the Lady Rebels and not the best of visits to their neighbor county.
Logan County took an early lead in the match and then cruised on to a 6-1 win over the Lady Rebels.
The Lady Cougars led 3-1 at the half. Todd County Central’s score came off a goal from Shelby Rios-Velasco at 32:10.
Logan County then put the match away with three more goals in the second half. It was the second straight 6-goal performance for the Lady Cougars, who are now 2-1 on the season after back-to-back wins over Christian County and Todd County Central.
Jazmine Russell had a solid performance in the net for the Lady Rebels, finishing the night with 8 saves.
The Lady Rebels (0-1-1) are back on the road Thursday as they take on Trigg County.
