It is a result that will get some significant attention across Western Kentucky among those who follow boys’ high school soccer. The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons picked up their third straight shutout win Tuesday night in an impressive 4-0 road win at Daviess County.
Through the first four matches of the season, the Maroons have outscored their opponents 20-1.
Nash Tapp got the Maroons on the board in the first half, scoring off an assist from Logan Terry on a free kick, putting Madisonville-North Hopkins up 1-0. That would be the score as the Maroons and the Panthers went into the halftime break.
The Maroons extended the lead in the second half when Dom Blanford found the net after a pass from Eli Redpath to make it a 2-0 lead.
Redpath scored later in the half, this one off an assist from Logan Terry, giving the Maroons a 3-0 lead.
Madisonville-North Hopkins then capped off the win with a goal from Aiden Lutz. Eli Redpath had his second assist of the night on the score.
The Maroons (4-0) go on the road Friday to take on North Oldham.
