The Crittenden County Lady Rockets seem to be looking to position themselves as a 2nd Region contender here early in the volleyball season. The Lady Rockets hit the road to Madisonville-North Hopkins Thursday night and picked up their third straight win to open the season.
The road trip did not seem to faze Crittenden County at all in the early going. The Lady Rockets won the first two sets 25-14 and 25-15 to go up two sets to none in the match.
The Lady Maroons fought back in the third set and looked to have some momentum going in their direction following a 26-24 win that cut the match lead to two sets to one.
However, Crittenden County got honed back in on the matters at hand and the Lady Rockets closed out the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth set.
Madisonville-North Hopkins drops to 1-2 with the loss. The Lady Maroons will be in Owensboro this weekend to compete in the Apollo Summer Slam.
