Kallan Davis doubled his season scoring total on Saturday which was almost enough for Heritage Christian Academy to claim its first soccer win of the season. However, Logan County scored three unanswered goals in the second half to force a 4-4 tie at HCA’s field.

Davis, who scored eight of HCA’s goals last season, scored all four on Saturday and has all of the Warriors’ eight goals this season.

The HCA junior scored three times in the game’s first 17 minutes to stake the Warriors to a 3-0 lead.

Layne Harris got Logan County on the board midway through the first half before Davis tallied his fourth goal in the 27th minute.

Kevin Hernandez got Logan County to within 4-2 with a goal in the 56th minute.

Andrew McCall scored twice in the game’s final 13 minutes for Logan County (2-2-1) to force the 4-4 tie.

Lucas West and Jerry Spurling had assists for HCA, and Cayden Nowak had 13 saves in goal.

Heritage Christian Academy (0-3-1) will host Lyon County on Thursday and Hopkins County Central on Sept. 3.
