Hoptown Lady Tigers Claim Title at Christian County Season Opener (w/PHOTOS)

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers put three runners in the top 10 and all five across the finish line in the top 18 to run away with first place in the Christian County Season Opener on Saturday.

Hoptown led wire to wire and defeated Clarksville Northwest by 17 points (36-53).

Lauren Mayes was the first Lady Tiger to cross the finish line, placing fourth in a time of 23:27 over the 3.1-mile course.

Alexis Herrera Loveto came in 8^th place in 24:13, followed by Rebecca Wood in 10^th place in 25:46.

Kaydon Coats was 12^th in 26:10, while Evelyn Bangart was 18^th in 27:24, Luanna Acree was 40^th in 36:14, and Maleigha Henderson was 43^rd in 37:39.

Murray’s Jade Green won the race with a time of 21:35.
