
Visiting Ohio County scored three goals in each half on Monday to prevail 6-1 and send the Hopkinsville boys’ soccer team to its third straight defeat.
The Tigers trailed 3-1 at the halftime break with a goal from Alex Ramirez assisted by Erick Hernandez. Despite 16 shots, Hopkinsville couldn’t add to their tally to slip to 2-4.
Ohio County had five goal scorers, led by Jaden Sandria, who scored two goals and added an assist. Kaden Vincent, Brayden Turner, Brandon Turner, and JJ Pacheco scored a goal each, and Abe Evans, Juan Alonzo, and Moises Garcia each provided an assist. Kayden Sandria made seven saves for the Eagles.
Raul Rivera made four saves in goal for the Tigers, and Landon Beaulieu added five.
Up next for Hopkinsville is a visit from Henderson County on Wednesday. The Colonels won last season’s meeting 10-0.
