Genna Calhoun just missed out on a top-25 finish in her first varsity race of the season for Heritage Christian Academy.
The HCA ninth-grader came in 26th place at Saturday’s Christian County Season Opener. She completed the 3.1-mile course in 29:19.
Mekena Dalke, who represented HCA at the state cross country meet a year ago, finished in 42nd place with a time of 37:11.
