A player who has been a big part of the recent successful baseball run at Lyon County High School has decided to continue his baseball and athletic career ‘on the Hill.’ Senior Peyton Williams announced his commitment to play baseball at Western Kentucky University via social media late Tuesday afternoon.
Williams helped lead the Lyons to a 22-7 record last season, including an appearance in the All A Classic state championship game.
He hit .291 last season with 2 home runs and 21 RBIs. Williams also had 9 doubles and 3 triples while playing in all 29 games for the Lyons last season.
During his sophomore season in 2023, Williams hit .312 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs.
