
The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons had three players score twice and handed Todd County Central an 8-0 loss on Thursday at Fryar Stadium.
The win gives the Lady Falcons a 3-2 record entering the Labor Day holiday, the first time since 2019 they have been above .500 heading into September.
Fort Campbell kept constant pressure on Todd Central early, outshooting the Lady Rebels 14-1 in the first 40 minutes.
Anna Allen and Alexa Aubuchon scored in the first 11 minutes to stake the Lady Falcons to a 2-0 lead.
Allen later fed Payton Lopez on a through ball and the senior poked home the goal in the 22nd minute for a 3-0 lead that would stand at intermission.
Freshman Abigail Allen opened the second half scoring with a pair of goals in the first nine minutes. Her third and fourth goals of the season pushed the Lady Falcon lead to 5-0.
First-year coach Julie Stultz used the second half to move some players around on the field. Todd Central took advantage with at least three corner kick opportunities but couldn’t put the ball into the net.
Lopez tallied her second goal of the game in the 59th minute when she put home a corner kick that lagged in front off the foot of several players but wasn’t cleared.
Anna Allen sent home a left-footed rocket from out front for her 13th goal of the season with 9:25 left.
Daniela Hernandez ended the match when she put home a loose ball in the box with just two minutes left in the match.
Fort Campbell outshot Todd Central 28-2 and improved to 23-2-3 against the Lady Rebels over the past 18 years. Todd Central swept a pair of matches against Fort Campbell last year.
Todd County Central (0-5-1), who has been suffering from low numbers early in the season, played with 11 players and no substitutes on a night when the start was pushed back to 7:00 with a first-touch temperature of 89 degrees.
The Lady Rebels will play at Russellville on Tuesday in a 13th District contest with important seeding implications.
Fort Campbell (3-2) will play at Trigg County next Thursday before hosting Fort Knox in the annual Army bragging rights contest on Saturday, Sept. 7.
