Hopkinsville’s Lauren Mayes led the field during Saturday’s running of the girls’ division in the 2024 Madisonville Classic. Mayes finished her race in a time of 23:16.24 on her way to the win. That time was almost a minute and a half better than 2nd place finisher Addison Connell, of Logan County.
Taylor Morris, of Christian County, finished third.

Maleigha Henderson – Hopkinsville – 18th place
Cara Knight – Hopkins County Central – 19th place
Hopkinsville was the only school to field a full-scoring squad for the race.
