While neither team could find the net in the opening half, the Christian County Colonels scored three times in the second half to get past the Ohio County Eagles 3-2 for a big road win Tuesday night. The win was the second straight for the Colonels and the 6th in their last 7th matches.

After the two teams played to a 0-0 tie at the break, the Colonels got two second half goals from Leland Creamer and a goal from Tyler Stokes. Christian Lopez assisted on all three goals for the Colonels. That now gives him seven assists on the season.

The two goals scored by Ohio County were the most scored by a Christian County opponent in a Colonel win this season.

Christian County improves to 7-2 on the season. The Colonels now get ready for a big 8th District battle coming up Thursday night when they travel across North Drive to take on the University Heights Academy Blazers.

Christian County is 1-0 in district play while Thursday night’s contest will be the district opener for the Blazers.
