The Lyon County Lady Lyons got back on track after a tough district loss to Trigg County last Friday in resounding and quick fashion Tuesday night. Alice Smith scored four times as Lyon County handled Webster County 11-0 in a game that ended at the half due to the 8-goal mercy rule.
The Lady Lyons came out and took control of this one early and never glanced back at the Lady Trojans.
In addition to Smith’s four goals, Avery White, Eden Jones, and Anna White scored two goals each. Lyla Melton also found the net for the Lady Lyons.
Anna White finished the match with two assists. Alice Smith added one more.
The Lady Lyons improve to 5-3 with the win and now get ready for a big showdown with the UHA Lady Blazers Thursday night at Givens Field in Hopkinsville.
